Varanasi: Mirzamurad police on Friday evening arrested a man in connection with the death of a villager allegedly caused by an illegally electrified wire around a farm on Oct 15.Mirzamurad station in charge Gopalji Kushwaha said the accused, Vishnu alias Vishun Bind of Kosda Chakpanpur, was arrested near Lalpur Chatti following a tip-off received during a vehicle-checking drive.Police had been searching for Vishnu after registering a case under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the BNS in connection with the death of Bablu Bind.During the investigation, police found that Bablu was electrocuted while laying an irrigation pipe in his field. He allegedly came into contact with a live wire that had been unlawfully connected around a neighbouring farm by the accused, resulting in his death.Police said efforts are on to arrest another accused allegedly involved in the incident.
