Ahmedabad: Citizens got some respite from the heat ahead of Diwali as the city’s minimum temperature dropped below 20°C for the first time this season on Saturday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 19.5°C, though it remained 1.4 degrees above normal. The maximum temperature stayed high at 36.4°C, which was 2.4 degrees above normal.According to the forecast, the city is likely to record a minimum temperature of around 20°C on Sunday. Across the state, no major change in minimum temperatures is expected, with most cities and towns likely to remain in the 18°C to 21°C range. Amreli recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 17.6°C, while Deesa was the hottest at 38.6°C.
