Noida: Three fire incidents were reported from different parts of the city on Monday. Fire dept officials confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported.A major fire broke out around 2 p.m. on Monday in a plastic and scrap warehouse at Kakrala Colony in Sector 80. Thick black smoke rose into the sky because of the highly flammable material stored inside and was visible from 5–6 km away. The blaze triggered panic in the densely populated area, forcing residents to leave homes and move to safer places.Chief fire officer Pradeep Kumar Chaubey said a team was sent to the spot immediately after receiving an alert. Three fire tenders were sent initially, but as the flames intensified, the number was increased to six. After prolonged efforts, firefighters brought the blaze under control. No one was injured, but a large quantity of plastic and scrap material was destroyed, causing heavy financial losses. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, though officials suspect a short circuit or a spark in the scrap.In another incident on Monday morning, a fire broke out at a plastic recycling company in Sector 6 around 8 am. A security guard reported the incident through Dial 112. By the time fire personnel arrived with multiple tenders, the flames had engulfed the storeroom and were spreading rapidly.Firefighters used technical equipment to clear the smoke and stop the fire from spreading further. After nearly an hour of continuous effort, the blaze was brought under control. Officials said a short circuit was the likely cause.Earlier in the day, at 12.30pm, a fire broke out in a flat on the 12th floor of La Residential Society in Techzone 4. Three fire units were deployed promptly and managed to extinguish the blaze. No casualties were reported in this incident either.Officials have urged industrial units and residential societies to strictly follow fire safety norms to prevent such incidents.
