Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Monday warned officials against delaying development projects and welfare schemes, saying negligence would not be tolerated and directed disciplinary action against officers in multiple cases while reviewing projects worth Rs 15,890 crore under the state’s Raj Unnati initiative.“Completing development projects within the timeline and ensuring people benefit on time is the primary responsibility of every official. No excuses for delays or negligence will be accepted,” Sharma said while chairing the seventh Raj Unnati meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office.The CM ordered charge sheets against supervisory officers after women associated with a Rajeevika cluster in Pratapgarh complained that a block project manager had shut the organisation’s bank account, demanded commission and misbehaved with them. Although the contractual services of the accused official were already terminated, Sharma questioned the delay in action against other responsible officers.He also directed disciplinary proceedings against Joint Labour Commissioner Deepak Yadav and another official after a woman in Bundi failed to receive benefits under the Prasuti Sahayata Yojana despite applying in 2023. “Beneficiaries must receive scheme benefits transparently and on time,” Sharma said.The chief minister sought action against officials over repeated complaints of poor conditions at the govt home for intellectually disabled girls in Jamdoli, directing inspections of all such institutions, ensuring biometric attendance and safety measures.Sharma instructed officials to resolve pending issues delaying the Rs 11,700-crore Jaipur Northern Ring Road through coordination with the Railways and the forest department. He also set a December deadline for inaugurating the Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) at RUHS and asked officials to operationalise super-speciality services without delay.Sharma also reviewed PM Awas Yojana (Gramin), Panch Gaurav Yojana and investment proposals under the Rising Rajasthan Summit, directing that investors who have begun work after signing MoUs be recognised. He asked officials to expand marketing avenues for Rajeevika products through govt facilities, haat bazaars and online platforms.The monthly Raj Unnati meeting is the state’s flagship mechanism for monitoring major projects, welfare schemes and public grievances through direct interaction with senior officials and district collectors.
