NHAI seminar on digital tech to manage highways
The seminar focused on key digital tools aimed at improving the maintenance and monitoring of national highways.

Varanasi: The National Highways Authority of India is implementing digital and technology-based initiatives to strengthen the management, monitoring and maintenance of national highways, while improving services for road users.As part of the initiative, a review and awareness seminar on technology-driven highway management systems was held at NHAI’s regional Office, eastern UP, in the city on Wednesday. The seminar focused on key digital tools aimed at improving the maintenance and monitoring of national highways.NHAI regional officer, Pankaj Maurya, attended the seminar along with officials and staff members. Detailed discussions were held on the implementation, usefulness and functioning of technical initiatives such as NSV, DAMS, Dashcam, FWD and DHMS.Officials and employees also shared suggestions, experiences and feedback to ensure the effective rollout of these systems.The seminar highlighted the importance of digital monitoring of national highways, scientific assessment of road and pavement conditions, data-based decision-making, asset management and improvement in road safety and service quality.Maurya said NHAI is working towards making highway management more transparent, data-driven, efficient and technology-enabled. He added that the effective use of modern digital solutions will further enhance the quality, maintenance and safety of national highways.
