NEET paper leak is Centre’s failure, says CM Mann

Chandigarh: Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday slammed the BJP-led Centre over the NEET paper leak, calling it a betrayal of lakhs of students whose dreams were crushed by repeated failures in the examination system. Speaking to media persons after a meeting with Union minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi, Mann stated that the NEET paper leak incident had shattered the dreams of the aspirants and exposed the Centre’s failure to ensure a fair examination system. “Students worked tirelessly and burnt midnight oil in the hope of cracking the examination, but the paper leak dealt a severe blow to their aspirations,” he added. “The Centre should take note of the fact that it cannot conduct such important tests related to the students’ future. It is heartbreaking for students to realise that the paper has been leaked a night before, and those with money have bought it. It is the govt’s failure. We condemn it and demand that the Centre should conduct such tests with strictness,” said Mann. The chief minister stated, “The aspirants are in deep shock because the Centre has failed to prevent this fraud with their careers. Lakhs of hopes have been ruined due to this paper leak. The Centre should have ensured free and fair conduct of the examination, which could have transformed the destiny of millions of students.”MSID: 131067182 413 |
