Pune: NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday spoke on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) controversy, saying his party would clarify its stance on the issue in the coming days. The senior politician added that they stand with all those who want to take action against wrongdoers in this entire process.He was speaking to the media after a meeting at his home in Shivajinagar with protesting MPSC students.Replying to a question from reporters about his views on the agitation in Mumbai led by Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray, bringing up the issue of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and the SIR of electoral rolls, Pawar said the controversy extends far beyond Mumbai and across Maharashtra.The Mumbai demonstration was organised to demand the CEC’s resignation while objecting to the Election Commission’s implementation of the voter-list revision.Pawar said political leaders across parties should unite to resolve issues around the SIR process and hold wrongdoers accountable.
