Former Union minister Smriti Irani and DyCM Brajesh Pathak inaugurated the event

Varanasi: A grand event ‘Nari Shakti Vandan — Sashakt Nari, Sashakt Bharat’ was organized at the Girjadevi Sanskritik Sankul auditorium on Friday to discuss the new role of women in the country’s democracy through the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ — the women’s reservation law.The programme was inaugurated by former Union minister Smriti Irani and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak.Addressing the women, Smriti Irani said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the resolve to make the daughters of the country self-reliant is now being realized on the ground. She said that Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao and the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana have secured the future of daughters, while the Ujjwala Yojana and Matru Vandana Yojana have brought revolutionary changes in the living standards of women. The ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ is not merely a law, but a document of honor and rights for half the country’s population.Meanwhile, Pathak said that the land of Kashi has always been a worshipper of Nari Shakti. He emphasized that including women in the decision-making process is essential for building a developed India. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi implemented the Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas scheme without discrimination and also protected the interests of Muslim daughters.
