Hyderabad: City police on Friday said every police station has been provided a drug testing kit and officers have been directed to use them on persons moving suspiciously during the night. The announcement was made after Hyderabad police commissioner VC Sajjanar visited Gandhi hospital, where history-sheeters are undergoing de-addiction treatment. Police said that of the 239 history-sheeters recently tested, 188 were found positive for drug use. Among them, 35 persons are currently undergoing treatment at Gandhi hospital, where they will remain in the de-addiction centre for 15 days. Gandhi hospital superintendent N Vani briefed the police officials on the functioning of the newly-established de-addiction centre during the visit.
