Dimapur: Nagaland Police have asked group administrators and members of all social media platforms to exercise caution while posting, sharing, or forwarding messages, images, videos, or other content. In a release on Monday, the state police PRO stressed that group administrators are responsible for monitoring the content shared within their groups, cautioning all users to verify information before sharing and refrain from posting content that may incite hatred, violence, panic, or public disorder. The release said if any post, message, or material is found to be offensive, misleading, unlawful, or likely to disturb public peace and tranquility, the individual concerned and group administrator will be held liable and appropriate legal action shall be initiated against them as per the provisions of law.
