Mumbai Police Register FIR Against Flyer for Smoking on Dubai Flight

Mumbai: Sahar Police registered an FIR against a flyer for smoking tobacco in the toilet of an aeroplane. The incident occurred on an international flight from Dubai to Mumbai on Oct 9. The complaint was filed by a cabin crew member of an airline.The FIR said that the flight was scheduled to take off at 6 pm from Dubai. Before takeoff, the cabin crew told all passengers in English and Hindi that smoking was prohibited on the flight.Around 8.15 pm, a flyer from seat 18D went to the rear toilet and after some time, he took his seat. But a foul smell started emanating from the toilet. Tobacco was found lying in the toilet. On being quizzed, the passenger from seat 18D admitted to smoking tobacco in the toilet. The passenger, Mohammad Uvesh Aibani (26) was handed to Sahar Police after the flight landed. An FIR was registered against him.
