Mumbai: Oshiwara police cyber team recovered filmmaker Sudhir Mishra’s X account (formerly Twitter) on Monday after he complained last week that it was hacked and he was unable to access it.Mishra, who won three national awards, earlier tweeted that he reached out to X to recover the account, but support denied the request, stating they could not validate that the account belonged to him.On Monday, Mishra tweeted: “Heartfelt thanks to @MumbaiPolice and @OshiwaraPS Cyber Crime team for their excellent support in helping me recover my X account. Special gratitude to senior inspector Sanjay Chavan, sub-inspector Vijay Suresh Sardesai, assistant sub-inspector Ashok Konde, constable Vikram Sarnobat. Thanks. Quite a relief. Big thanks for being so helpful!”Mishra filed an official complaint with the cybercrime department at Oshiwara police station. Mishra stated that he was suddenly logged out of his account. “Email notifications from X showed that an unauthorised login occurred via an iPhone around midnight (12:53 AM), after which a security key was added and his registered email address was changed from sudhirmishra.sudhir@gmail.com to valid9031@outlook.com.X,” said the filmmaker on X.Mishra’s most notable films include Dharavi (1992), Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2003), Chameli (2004), and Serious Men (2020).
