Mumbai: The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC), Worli Unit, arrested a suspected drug trafficker and seized 10 kg of charas worth Rs 10 crore near Bandra Terminus in Bandra (East) on Monday.Acting on specific intelligence, between 2.20 pm and 5.00 pm, ANC officials conducted a search operation in Mumbai that led to the detention of Santosh Sav for alleged involvement in the purchase, sale, supply and storage of narcotic substances.The police team noticed him behaving suspiciously near Bandra Terminus. He was intercepted and searched, following which officers allegedly recovered 10 kg and 10 grams of charas from his possession. Sav was booked under the NDPS Act and was remanded to police custody.Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the seized narcotics and identify other persons involved in the drug trafficking network.
