‘Move aside, or you may get hurt’: Yogi’s call of care for cows at Gorakhnath temple

Gorakhpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s affectionate bond with cows was on display at the Gorakhnath Temple gaushala on Monday morning, where he gently told a group of bovines jostling around him, “Come on, move over there, otherwise you might get hurt.”Several cows had gathered around the CM at the cowshed to seek his attention. After cautioning them to move aside to avoid getting hurt, Yogi fed them rotis and jaggery by hand as they responded to his call and shifted to the other side.Yogi’s morning routine during his stay at the temple remained as per tradition. He began the day by offering prayers to Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath, revered as an incarnation of Lord Shiv. He also paid his respects at the samadhi of his spiritual guru, late Mahant Avaidyanath, and sought his blessings. After the rituals, the chief minister took a stroll around the temple premises before heading to the gaushala. The scene reflected Yogi’s deep affection for the bovine population, with his interaction at the temple gaushala offering a glimpse of his personal routine during his Gorakhpur visit.
