Pune: A 38-year-old motorcyclist died after his motorcycle hit a tree along the road at Jadhavwadi in Chikhali.Chikhali police on Tuesday registered a case of causing death by negligence against the deceased. They identified the deceased as Prafulla Chandukar of Rupunagar in Talawade.An officer from Chikhali police said the victim was riding his motorcycle home. “While driving on the service road at Jadhavwadi in Chikhali, he lost control of the motorcycle, crashed into the footpath and then hit a tree. The victim sustained head injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.”The police had initially registered an accidental death case. “After the investigation, we registered a case of causing death by negligence against the deceased on Tuesday,” the officer added.
