Hisar: A mobile shop owner in Hisar’s Ganesh Market has allegedly received a death threat, with a note left on his car warning him to “end the matter” or face bullets.Mukesh, proprietor of Sach Mobile Shop, told police he found the handwritten note on the rear seat of his car. It allegedly referred to his dispute with Manoj Sindhwani.The threat drew concern among local traders, with trader leader Bajrang Das Garg and former mayor Gautam Sardana visiting the shop. Police took Mukesh’s complaint and the note into possession.Mukesh alleged that around five months ago, Sindhwani had demanded Rs 1 lakh for not filing an RTI application against an under-construction building near Sector 14 and threatened to have it sealed if he did not pay. Police allegedly laid a trap and arrested Sindhwani while he was purportedly accepting Rs 1 lakh. He is currently in jail, Mukesh said.He further alleged that attempts had been made to pressure him into a compromise even after Sindhwani’s arrest and that some people had contacted him by phone over the matter.Police are probing whether the latest threat is linked to the earlier alleged extortion case and are trying to identify the sender.
