Kolkata: State urban development & municipal affairs minister Agnimitra Paul on Saturday announced that govt has plans to set up a pet crematorium dedicated to the respectful handling of street animals in Kolkata.Paul said that taking inspiration from the animal care models in Gorakhpur, providing for stray animals goes beyond sympathy. “Not just sympathy for strays, building a safe and caring environment is also our responsibility. Therefore, there is a plan to build such a system for stray animals, where there will be arrangements for their shelter, food, and necessary care,” Paul posted on social media.
