Metro rail on top, HCMTR road below at intersection points
Proposed HCMTR roads will run below the Metro tracks where these infra projects will intersect

Pune: The Metro viaduct would be on top and the elevated HCMTR road would run below it wherever these intersect each other or run in tandem. The decision was taken last week in a joint meeting of top PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation) and Maha Metro officials. PMC and Maha Metro will prepare joint execution plans for the intersecting stretches of Metro lines and the High Capacity Mass Transit Route (HCMTR) roads. Both infra projects either cross each other or have the same alignment at over 20 locations. The officials decided to conduct joint inspections at all the intersections to work out designs.A series of joint meetings have been planned after the civic administration decided to give a fresh push to the 36km-long HCMTR road project, in discussions for over three decades.
