Suri: Police arrested former Mohammadbazar BLRO Sabyasachi Mandal in connection with alleged financial irregularities in Birbhum’s stone belt. Mandal, currently a collectorate and land acquisition officer in Jhargram, was arrested after questioning in Suri. A court remanded him in police custody for five days. Three govt employees have now been arrested for misappropriation of govt revenue and abetting a racket involving fake receipts or Duplicate Carbon Receipts (DCR).
