Mohali: Mohali mayor Sarabjit Singh Samana Friday assured traders that the MC would address market-related issues, reiterating a focus on improving civic infrastructure and services.At a Traders’ Association meeting in Phase 7, Samana said he was touring areas to gather grievances and suggestions, adding that feedback would aid balanced, need-based development.Senior deputy mayor RP Sharma, deputy mayor Harpal Singh Channa, district traders’ association chairman Ranjit Pal Singh, vice-chairman Tarlochan Singh Baidwan and constituency chairman Akvinder Singh Gosal were present.Traders submitted memorandums outlining key concerns. Officials from multiple departments interacted with them, explaining procedures and promising to resolve genuine issues as per rules.Among attendees were tehsildar Gurpreet Singh, Gmada estate officer Jaswinder Singh, assistant labour commissioner Surmukh Singh, MC assistant commissioner Manpreet Singh, SDOs Arvind Kumar and Hitesh Kumar, and officials from excise and taxation, food and supplies, and GST departments.Several councillors and market body representatives, along with a large number of traders, also attended the meeting.
