Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) president-elect Padmaraj R Poojary said that the state cabinet meeting held for the first time in Dakshina Kannada was a historic success. He told reporters here on Saturday that the Congress govt, led by chief minister DK Shivakumar, has given a fitting reply to the opposition’s false propaganda and misuse of people’s emotions through concrete actions.Lauding the govt for the development projects allocated to the coastal region during the cabinet meeting, Padmaraj said that the opposition parties were misusing people’s emotions and misleading them. However, Congress govt responded through its work, not just words, he said.“While the opposition plays politics based on emotions, the Congress has worked to respect those emotions and drive development. This cabinet meeting has emerged as a ‘benchmark’ for future administration,” he said.
