They found that Sagar (34), the manager of the complainant’s business, was in frequent contact with the complainant’s 20-year-old daughter, an MBA student. The police questioned Sagar and the businessman’s daughter separately. During questioning, the daughter confessed that she had given the gold to Sagar for the treatment of his brain tumour. “Sagar told her that he was suffering from a brain tumour. Believing him, she took gold from the house without informing her parents and handed it over to Sagar for treatment,” Chaitanyapuri inspector K Saidulu said.Sagar, who is married and has a child, reportedly sold a significant part of the jewellery, and the police are trying to recover it. “We have issued a notice to Sagar for questioning.
