Pune: A 23-year-old motorcyclist sustained minor injuries when a man allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol hit him with his car on Tuesday evening near LMD Chowk in Bavdhan.Bavdhan police on Wednesday registered a case against a 31-year-old man.Police sub-inspector Hanmant Pawar of Bavdhan police said the accident happened around 6.30pm on Tuesday, when the motorcyclist was heading towards Bavdhangaon. “The car driver hit the motorcycle near LMD Chowk. The motorcyclist sustained injuries and his vehicle was damaged in the accident.”Police took the car driver into custody and took him to a hospital for medical examination. The medical reports confirmed the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. “The accused is currently jobless. We have issued him a notice,” the officer said.
