New Delhi: Chief minister Rekha Gupta Thursday joined Delhi University students, teachers and residents in a cleanliness drive at Kamla Nehru Ridge as part of the nationwide Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath drive.“Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, people across the country are undertaking various service activities. Cleanliness is not a one-day campaign, but a regular habit and a collective responsibility,” Gupta said. “Whenever someone throws waste on a road or in a public place, they should consider how even a small act of carelessness affects people around them and the environment.”Stressing that both administration and citizens have to make the city’s cleaning system effective, CM said, “One hour of shramdaanwill be meaningful only when it is followed by the habit of maintaining cleanliness throughout the year.”
