Ludhiana: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre, Ludhiana, organised the 93rd edition of the “Sundays on Cycle” rally at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) under the Fit India movement, drawing around 500 cyclists, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts.The event aimed to promote physical fitness, environmental awareness, road safety, and a drug-free society across the state.Padma Shri awardee coach Baldev Singh attended as the chief guest, while WWE wrestler Shanky Singh flagged off the rally, encouraging the youth to engage in sports and adopt an active lifestyle.Later in the evening, SAI organised the flag-off ceremony for the “Nasha Mukti Van” initiative at Rakh Bagh in the presence of local residents and volunteers. Local councillor Rohit Sikka flagged off the vehicle.The Nasha Mukti Van will travel across all districts of Punjab to spread awareness about the hazards of drug abuse, motivating young people to stay away from drugs and embrace a healthy, sports-driven lifestyle.
