Pune: The Pune rural police have submitted pictures procured from tourists who had visited Lohgad Fort on June 18 and inadvertently captured Ketan Agarwal, Siya Goyal and Chetan Choudhary in the background to the court along with a 5,300-page chargesheet.SP Sandeep Singh Gill on Monday evening said, “The photographs show Ketan, Siya and Chetan at the spot on the fort from where Ketan was pushed to death by the duo later. These photographs are evidence in the case. They corroborate other evidences and show the presence of Chetan at the spot.”The police have also recorded the statement of a Bengaluru-based witness in the case. Siya and Chetan allegedly contacted him to learn about spots where Ketan could be beaten up, killed or even mutilated. “The man asked them to not do anything like that,” Gill said.The probe has revealed that Chetan had also suggested tearing up Ketan’s passport. A fake social media account was created which was handled by both Chetan and Siya. The account was used to lure Ketan to the fort to celebrate Siya’s birthday. Ritesh Hange, a close friend of Chetan, was an adviser in the entire matter.Police said a study of Siya’s messages revealed that she had told several people that she did not wish to marry Ketan.Filed in court on Sept 19 the chargesheet also includes statements by eyewitnesses and various other people, information about social media accounts and other digital evidence.Ujjwal Nikam to be special public prosecutorSenior advocate Ujjwal Nikam will soon be appointed as the special public prosecutor for the court proceedings in the Ketan Agarwal murder case. The Pune rural police have completed the process for his appointment.
