Ajmer: Police Friday registered an FIR against unidentified persons for vandalising Kishangarh airport premises after a high-level inspection confirmed serious security lapses.According to the complaint, a private luxury car entered the airport campus illegally and damaged electricity poles and other structures while being driven at high speed. Sources said the occupants were allegedly shooting a social media reel during the incident. CCTV footage of the incident has been collected and is being examined by police.Kishangarh SHO Sanjay Sharma inspected the site Friday. Ajmer SP Harsh Vardhan Agarwala said the complaint mentions damage to poles and illegal entry of a private vehicle (RJ-29-CF-0001 BMW electric) into the main campus, and that the matter is under investigation.TOI tried to get a statement from acting director of the airport, BC Meena, but his phone remained unanswered Friday.Preliminary findings suggest the people in the luxury car may have been linked to a private aviation training group, though police are verifying this through CCTV footage. Sources said the vehicle entered through the airport’s staff gate around 4am and was not stopped or questioned by security personnel. The occupants allegedly moved around the premises filming videos before the car struck poles and other structures while exiting from the wrong side. The BCAS team, which inspected the airport after the incident was reported, said to have found lapses in security arrangements. Based on that report, airport authorities filed the FIR.Kishangarh airport is considered a high-security facility, with around 75 police personnel deployed daily, 15 watch towers, and Quick Response Teams from Rajasthan Police and CISF active during flight operations.
