Ludhiana: Punjab Agricultural University has opened applications for its prestigious agricultural innovation awards, to be presented at the Sept Kisan Mela.The annual honors recognise standout growers across several distinct categories. Highlighting the selection is the ₹20,000 Bhai Babu Singh Brar Best Pond Award for model village water management. Individual crop accolades include the ₹8,000 Pravasi Bharti Award for diversified farming, alongside dedicated prizes for vegetable specialists, smallholders, and innovative women agri-entrepreneurs.Extension education director Makhan Singh Bhullar confirmed that nomination forms were available through regional agriculture and horticulture departments. Completed submissions must reach the university by June 30.
