Panchkula: A 22-year-old youth was allegedly kidnapped and murdered on Monday, with his body found on the Budhanpur–Indira Colony main road near Rajiv Colony.The deceased has been identified as Mohit, a native of Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh, who had moved to Panchkula around 10 days ago.According to information, Mohit’s brother Deepak said they received a phone call around 10.30 pm informing them that Mohit had been stabbed. The family rushed to the spot and took him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim was first abducted by three youths in a vehicle and then repeatedly stabbed, leaving him critically injured. Passersby later noticed him lying in a pool of blood and alerted the family.Police officials said a case has been registered against unidentified persons, and initial leads suggest the involvement of two suspects. A 16-year-old boy was arrested in the case on Tuesday.
