Karnataka officer caught taking Rs 15,000 bribe

Bengaluru: A district leprosy officer (DLO) attached to the department of health and family welfare was caught by Lokayukta police while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a 25-year-old doctor for approving a Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (KPME) licence.Unani doctor Muffassir Ahmed Muzammil approached Lokayukta police against DLO Dr Bhujabali D Yalagudri, 54, accusing him of demanding Rs 30,000 to approve his KPME licence.
