Kolkata: The judicial commission, led by former IPS officer K Jayaraman, visited Bangla Academy and Charukala Parishad on Wednesday to probe allegations of large-scale corruption across departments under the information and cultural affairs department.Jayaraman said they spoke to officials and staffers, and examined files and documents. Multiple complaints have been filed against former information and cultural affairs minister Indranil Sen and his department. Jayaraman said the problem has started with Bangla Academy and Charukala Parishad but all other departments under the information and cultural affairs department will also be investigated.The commission is currently probing allegations of corruption in functions that took place earlier. Jayaraman emphasised that no one connected to the corruption will be spared.
