Cash seized during the raid in Niwai town
Bhilwara: Tonk police arrested a 38-year-old man Friday during a major action against online betting in the district.According to police, three mobile phones and Rs 33,25,500 cash were seized from his possession. The accused was identified as Rajaram, a resident of Jaipur.Tonk SP Roshan Meena said a joint team of Tonk Police’s DST team and Niwai police carried out the operation in Niwai town based on a tip-off, adding that all police officers in the district had been directed to take effective action against online betting.A case has been registered under several sections of BNS and the IT Act.Police said a search has been initiated for others involved.
