Jagga Reddy Organises ‘Save Our Votes’ Campaign in Sangareddy

Hyderabad: In support of the movement against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar a unique ballot box movement was launched in Sangareddy on Friday.Telangana Congress working president Jagga Reddy asked the people submit appeals in a ballot box with their names, polling booth numbers and messages, expressing solidarity withthe campaign to protect voting rights. He accused the BJP govt at the Centre of vote theft and said the BJP govt and CEC should go.“Rahul Gandhi has met the President of Indian on this issue. In support of his fight, I am sending voter cards from Sangareddy to the President of India,’ Jagga Reddy said.TPCC working president organised the innovative programme in Sangareddy in support of Congress leaderRahul Gandhi’s campaign to protect voting rights. Under the banner of ‘Save Our Votes’, a specially designed ballot boxwas introduced to allow people to express their solidarity with the campaign.As part of the programme, people wrote down their names and polling booth numbers and dropped messages into the ballot box, appealing to Rahul Gandhi to safeguard their votes. Through these messages, they expressed their support forRahul Gandhi’s fight to protect democratic rights.Through the initiative, Jagga Reddy sought to highlight that the protection of voting rights is not merely an issueconcerning political leaders, but a matter directly linked to the democratic rights of every citizen. The primary objectivewas to gather grassroots support for protecting voting rights by collecting messages directly from the public.Speaking on the occasion, Jagga Reddy said “the right to vote is a citizen’s voice. Protecting that vote is equivalent to protecting democracy. Through thisprogramme, the people of Sangareddy have sent a strong message to Rahul Gandhi. They have demonstrated that they arepartners in his fight to protect voting rights. This is not the struggle of a single leader; it is a collective movement tosafeguard the democratic rights of every citizen.”Through this unique initiative, Jagga Reddy highlighted public support for Rahul Gandhi’s campaign to protect votingrights and emphasised the need to ensure that every eligible voter can exercise their right to vote.Jagga Reddy alleged that 73 lakh votes had been deleted and 92 lakh voters had been issued notices during the SpecialIntensive Revision (SIR) process in Telangana. He criticised the BJP, alleging that its MPs were winning electionsbecause of vote theft and that Narendra Modi was becoming Prime Minister with their support. He further alleged thatModi was attempting to become Prime Minister for a fourth time using the same methods.Jagga Reddy accused Modi and Gyanesh Kumar of working together to steal people’s votes. He alleged that conspiracieswere being carried out to manipulate votes in order to gain power in certain states. He said Rahul Gandhi was fighting toprotect the rights of citizens across the country, particularly their right to vote.Jagga Reddy stated that Rahul Gandhi had declared he would not stop his struggle until Gyanesh Kumar resigned. Jagga Reddy made it clear that protests in Sangareddy would continue in solidarity with Rahul Gandhi’s campaign.He reiterated the demand: “Gyanesh Kumar must resign, and the people’s right to vote must be protected.”Ends/
