Gorakhpur: A nine-month-old girl was found unconscious in a tin shed near an agricultural field in Gulriha area of Gorakhpur on Saturday morning.According to police, farmers heading to the fields found the infant lying in the shed, located about 500 metres from her home, and immediately alerted authorities. The child was found injured and was rushed to a community health centre before being referred to BRD Medical College.Family members said the child went missing around 2 am. Relatives and neighbours searched for the infant throughout the night but failed to find her. At around 6 am, the family received information about the child. Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from nearby routes to determine how the child reached the location and whether any person was involved in the incident.SHO,Gulriha, Jagdish Prasad Pal said the infant is undergoing treatment and her condition is currently stable. He added that further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the medical examination and ongoing investigation.Police said all possible angles are being examined and efforts are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
