Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini concluded his three-day pitch in Singapore on Tuesday, making a strong push to attract global investors for the upcoming Happening Haryana 2027 summit in Gurgaon.Accompanied by chief principal secretary Rajesh Khullar, principal secretary (industries) and director general (MSME) Amit Aggarwal, along with a high-level official delegation, Saini held a round-table conference with business leaders and entrepreneurs to pitch the state as North India’s premier investment destination.Addressing the forum organised under Singapore Business Forum, Saini outlined Haryana’s ambitious roadmap to expand its footprint in key focus sectors, including semiconductors, green energy, warehousing and digital infrastructure. He showcased the state’s recently formulated Data Centre Policy-2026, aimed at providing a transparent, stable and predictable ecosystem backed by land, reliable power and modern infrastructure for tech investors.While Gurgaon remains an established global technology hub, CM urged Singaporean firms to look beyond the millennium city. “Our govt aims to develop Panchkula, Karnal, Hisar, Sonipat and Rohtak as the next growth centres for Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and IT-enabled services,” Saini said, highlighting that these emerging hubs offer competitive costs, skilled talent and superior quality of life.CM extended a formal invitation to the Singaporean business community to participate in the Happening Haryana 2027 summit.Saini said while Singapore excels in innovation and global connectivity, Haryana offers strong industrial infrastructure, an established manufacturing base and strategic proximity to the National Capital Region (NCR). He invited Singaporean giants to partner in electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, components supply chains and circular economy projects.Assuring full administrative support, Saini pledged fast-track approvals and time-bound project execution. “Investors should bring technology and opportunities; ensuring seamless facilitation and execution is our responsibility,” he assured the delegates, promising speed in decision-making and reliability in governance.Earlier in the day, the delegation visited urban infrastructure major Surbana Jurong to study modern, integrated systems for proposed Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) in Haryana. Saini reviewed benchmark operations spanning industrial clustering, automated water treatment and smart traffic management.
