Gurgaon: A 23-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, four days after he allegedly killed his elder brother during a quarrel at their house in Daulatabad village.The accused, Aman, who works at a private company in Udyog Vihar, was arrested from Sector 106 and taken on a one-day police remand for questioning, police said.Police said information was received on May 31 that a man was lying dead inside a house in Daulatabad village. A team from Rajendra Park police station reached the spot and found 26-year-old Ashish in a pool of blood.Police secured the scene and called forensic and fingerprint experts to collect evidence. His body was sent for autopsy and later handed over to the family.The autopsy report confirmed that the death was a case of murder. Based on a complaint from the family and the autopsy findings, police registered a case at Rajendra Park police station and launched an investigation.During the investigation, police identified Aman as the accused and arrested him on Wednesday. According to police, the brothers frequently argued over Ashish’s drinking habits. “During interrogation, Aman told police that Ashish was addicted to alcohol. On the day of the incident, another person came to drink with Ashish at the house. When Aman asked the visitor to leave, an argument broke out between the brothers,” police spokesperson Sandeep Turan said.“The argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which Aman allegedly struck Ashish on the head with a brick and a spade, causing fatal injuries,” he added.
