The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will close the online application process for Group C Recruitment 2026 today, June 30, 2026. Eligible candidates who have qualified the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Group C 2025 can submit their applications through the official HSSC recruitment portal before 11:59 PM.The recruitment drive is being conducted under Advertisement No. 06/2026 to fill 1,238 Group C vacancies in different departments of the Haryana Government. Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete the registration process without waiting until the last minute.
HSSC Group C recruitment 2026: Vacancy details
The recruitment includes the following posts:
- Assistant Superintendent Jail (Male): 30 posts
- Assistant Superintendent Jail (Female): 3 posts
- Prison Warder (Male): 1,093 posts
- Prison Warder (Female): 112 posts
A total of 1,238 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the Assistant Superintendent Jail posts must have a graduate degree from a recognised university.For the Prison Warder posts, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination. They should also have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at the Matric level or above.Candidates must also meet the prescribed physical standards and qualify the required physical tests.
Selection process
The selection process includes the following stages:
- Written examination
- Physical Measurement Test (where applicable)
- Physical Screening Test (qualifying in nature)
- Document verification
The written examination will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates will get 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the paper.There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. However, candidates must mark the fifth option for every unanswered question. If they leave a question completely blank without selecting the fifth option, one mark will be deducted for each such question.
