HC seeks T reply on Bhoodan land in Gajwel

Hyderabad: Telangana high court on Tuesday sought a response from state govt while hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking a direction for a detailed inquiry and survey into alleged illegal conversion of 3.43 acres of Bhoodan land at Gajwel, Siddipet district, into non-agricultural land, and allowing the same land to be developed into an approved residential layout.A division bench of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice BM Mohiuddin, which heard the PIL, also sought a response from businessman B Malla Reddy of Gajwel.According to petitioner Jangam Ramesh Goud, a resident of Gajwel, Malla Reddy has been attempting to illegally usurp 3.34 acres of the total 11.24 acres of Bhoodan land in violation of the Bhoodan Act.After hearing the submissions of all parties, the bench issued notices accordingly and adjourned the matter for three weeks for further hearing.
