Jaipur: The Jaipur bench of Rajasthan High Court has issued notices to the state govt and other respondents on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging financial irregularities, animal neglect and environmental violations at Shri Pinjrapole Gaushala in Sanganer, Jaipur.A division bench comprising Justices Inderjeet Singh and Sandeep Taneja directed the respondents to file their replies after hearing the matter on Aug 4. Notices have been issued to the state govt, the chairman and secretary of Shri Pinjrapole Gaushala, labour department, Hingonia Gaushala, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Jaipur Development Authority, Animal Welfare Board of India and accountant general.Petitioner Munish Sharma alleged that govt authorities found financial irregularities involving the release of Rs 2.21 crore as govt grants to the gaushala in violation of prescribed norms. The petition claims that despite official findings and multiple orders passed by the authorities, effective action has not been taken against those responsible for this fraud.Sharma said, “We have mentioned that animal is neglected and brought to fore the inflated cattle mortality figures, concealment of records, diversion of charitable donations and commercial use of gaushala premises. Also, the cattle were fed fodder cultivated using highly polluted chemical wastewater, posing risks to animal health and violating environmental norms.”
