Ahmedabad: The state monitoring cell (SMC) conducted a prohibition raid in Aravalli district and seized Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 38.8 lakh, officials said.The raid was carried out on April 20-21 at the parking area of a hotel under the jurisdiction of Tintoi police station.Officials said a total of 6,312 bottles of IMFL were recovered during the operation. In addition, one vehicle worth Rs 15 lakh, covering materials worth Rs 3.74 lakh, a mobile phone worth Rs 10,000, and cash of Rs 1,150 were seized. The total value of the seized property is estimated at Rs 57.7 lakh.One accused from Haryana was arrested at the spot and later handed over to Tintoi police for further investigation. Police said three other persons, including two alleged suppliers from Mewat in Haryana and one receiver from Vadodara, are wanted in the case.An offence has been registered under relevant sections of the Prohibition Act, and further investigation is underway to trace the absconding persons and the supply network.
