Gandhinagar: Four districts in Gujarat will get new administrative heads after the state govt ordered a reshuffle of 17 IAS officers on Friday. The govt also made changes to the information, tribal development, rural development, and sports departments. Several district development officers and project administrators have been given new assignments.The appointments were notified by the general administration department (GAD).According to the GAD notification, G T Pandya, additional secretary in the education department, has been appointed director of information. Alok Kumar Pandey, secretary in the tribal development department, will hold the additional charge of commissioner of relief.Gaurang Makwana, managing director of Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd, will hold the additional charge of managing director of iNDEXTb. S K Prajapati, collector of Mehsana, has been transferred as additional rural development commissioner. Harshit Gosavi, additional secretary in the home department, will replace him as Mehsana collector.Praveen Chaudhary, collector of Anand, has been appointed CEO of Special Project, Dholera SIR and Mandal-Becharaji SIR. Utsav Gautam, district development officer (DDO) of Kutch, will take over as Anand collector.M J Dave, DDO of Banaskantha, has been appointed collector of Vav-Tharad. Ram Niwas Bugalia, DDO of Tapi, will replace him as DDO of Banaskantha.Atirag Chaplot, DDO of Valsad, will move to Kutch as DDO. Vandana Meena, project administrator of tribal area sub plan in Mahisagar, will take over as Valsad DDO.Rajesh Kumar Mourya, project administrator of the tribal area sub-plan in Tapi, has been appointed DDO of Amreli. Swapnil Mahadeo Sisle, project administrator of the tribal area sub-plan in Navsari, will be posted as DDO of Tapi.Omkar Rajendra Shinde, project administrator of the tribal area sub-plan in Chhota Udepur, has been appointed DDO of Chhota Udepur.C C Kotak, deputy director general of Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA), has been appointed special director of State Institute of Rural Development. Chhota Udepur DDO Sachin Kumar has been appointed deputy secretary in the home department.B N Patel has been appointed director general of Sports Authority of Gujarat.
