Noida: Several Ramlila committees in Greater Noida convened their first meetings to plan for the event that will be held from Oct 11 to Oct 20 this year.On Sunday, Shri Dharmik Ramlila Committee held a pivotal meeting under Goswami Sushil Maharaj and committee president Anand Bhati at the Maharishi Bhrigu Ashram in Sector Beta 2 to discuss the details of the showcase, which is held in the Aichhar market ground in Sector Pi 1 and 2 every year and is one of the biggest Ramlilas in the area.Bhati said they are planning to introduce innovative elements to the celebration to give it a unique touch. “The committee is poised to set new benchmarks for this year’s festivities, further enriching Greater Noida’s cultural landscape,” he said, adding that the committee will announce comprehensive details regarding the arrangements and new features in this year’s Ramlila during the bhoomi puja on Sept 13.Another meeting was convened earlier last week where Sardar Manjeet Singh of Shri Ramlila Committee, along with general secretary Bijendra Singh Arya, outlined preparations for the accompanying Vijay Mahotsav (Dussehra and Ramlila celebrations). “Plans to create an engaging fair atmosphere through food stalls and amusement rides garnered unanimous support from committee members,” said Singh.Several residents in Greater Noida West also met on Sunday to strategise the staging of a Ramlila which will be held under the banner of Prabhu Shri Ramleela. They plan to organise an event on the theme of ‘Ramayana lok’ (world during the time of Lord Ram) that will run for 15 days. A 60-foot Ram Mandir replica will serve as the major attraction of the event.
