Jhunjhunu: Chief Secretary V Srinivas Saturday announced a development plan for Khatu Shyam ji town in Sikar, saying a proposal will be submitted to the chief minister within two weeks. He said this during his visit to the town, accompanied by Rajasthan Heritage Authority chairperson Omkar Singh Lakhawat.At the town he visited the Shyam Mandir temple, where they were welcomed by temple committee secretary Manvendra Singh Chauhan and former secretary Pratap Singh Chauhan.Following an inspection of the temple and surrounding areas, Srinivas outlined priority projects, including a ring road, sewerage systems, and underground electricity lines, emphasising a coordinated approach among various depts for the town’s long-term development.

A meeting with relevant departments is scheduled for next week to discuss the action points further. The visit also included a review of development initiatives under the Swadesh Darshan Yojana. Key officials present included UDH secretary Ravi Jain and tourism secretary Shuchi Tyagi, among others.
