Chandigarh: A war of words has erupted between North America-based gangsters Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar and Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla, with the two trading allegations over rival gang killings, the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, alleged links with security agencies, and the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.The exchange followed an alleged audio recording involving Brar and UK-based Khalistani terrorist Paramjit Singh Pamma, in which Brar is purportedly heard claiming responsibility for Nijjar’s killing in June 2023. Brar allegedly said Nijjar was targeted because of his association with members of the Dalla gang, which he accused of being involved in the killing of his brother, Gurlal Singh.Dalla challenged Brar to a one-on-one confrontation at a place of Brar’s choice, saying in a purported audio clip: “We will find you, we will kill you.”He also denied having met Nijjar for nearly a year before his killing and rejected allegations that Nijjar provided him with financial assistance, weapons or shelter.Dalla also denied allegations of drug trafficking and challenged Brar to produce any FIR against him for selling drugs. He rejected the allegation that he recruited teenagers into the drug trade.In his purported response, Dalla accused Brar of trying to tarnish his image and claimed that his activities had been undertaken in the name of the Sikh community. He also referred to cases registered against him under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).Dalla accused Brar of ordering killings by linking various individuals to the murder of his brother. He alleged that the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was among the crimes orchestrated by Brar.Brar later hit back, accusing Dalla of being a police informer and an “agency man”. He alleged that Dalla had struck a deal with Canadian police and become a witness in the Nijjar case.Brar also cited three alleged drug-related FIRs involving Dalla and his associates and referred to an alleged attempt on Dalla’s life in Hamilton, Canada. He claimed Dalla fled the spot after leaving a loaded pistol behind.Brar further alleged that police had placed a GPS-enabled anklet on Dalla following his arrest, referring to it as a “sarkaari jhaanjhar” or govt anklet.Brar issued a statement late Monday night (Indian time), rejecting Dalla’s claim of working for the community, and alleged that Dalla had instead cooperated with police. He alleged a quid pro quo involving a Punjab police officer who, according to him, helped Dalla’s brother travel to Canada.Brar also addressed the killing of a man accused in a sacrilege case, claiming that the jailed accused’s killer had stated that he was not associated with any gang.Describing his conflict with Dalla as a “gang war” rather than a personal dispute, Brar sought to justify attacks on members and associates of the rival group. He compared the gang network to an “octopus”, saying its various arms had to be cut before its head could be targeted.Brar also claimed to have fallen out with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and said he would not mind being targeted by Bishnoi as a result of their new rivalry.
