Panaji: Goa Forward Party (GFP) president Vijai Sardesai said that his party is working to expand its presence in at least 10 new constituencies. He said that the party is set to constitute 10 new block committees across Goa by May-end ahead of the state assembly elections in 2027.He said that though he has conveyed the urgency to have a proper strategy, Congress high command has not given importance to Goa. “Congress needs to take steps faster. It has different priorities…there are other elections. I feel that their central leadership has not given importance to Goa the way it is required,” Sardesai said. “If Congress wants to remain susegad, other parties cannot remain susegad. Alliance partners in Goa cannot remain silent,” said the Fatorda MLA. “We will form 10 new blocks and if we get a good response and support, we will contest in those blocks.”
