Guwahati: YouTuber CarryMinati has raised Rs 13.10 lakh to aid flood-hit families across three states, including Assam.Ajey Nagar, popularly known as CarryMinati, raised the money through an eight-hour charity livestream for relief efforts in Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. The stream drew more than 16 lakh viewers on Tuesday.Viewers donated Rs 8.24 lakh, while British YouTuber KSI contributed Rs 2.56 lakh. Nagar donated Rs 2.30 lakh, taking the total to Rs 13,10,017.“Every rupee of this amount will be donated to the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to support flood relief efforts,” Nagar wrote on his YouTube channel.“India is facing devastating floods across Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat, leaving thousands of families without homes, food and necessities. Today, we’re coming together on this stream to raise funds and support relief efforts for those affected by this crisis,” CarryMinati said while seeking support.“All donations will be sent to NDRF (National Disaster Response Fund) via Bharatkosh Portal controlled and managed by the govt of India,” he wrote.CarryMinati, one of Asia’s most-subscribed individual YouTube personalities, has 12.6 million subscribers. The Faridabad-based content creator is known for his gaming streams, comedy videos and music. He has previously used his platform to mobilise support during national and global emergencies.
