Pune: Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) experts are scheduled to depose before a special court on Friday in connection with the rape and murder of a three-year-old girl from Nasrapur. The prosecution has so far examined 30 witnesses in the in-camera trial, which is being conducted on a day-to-day basis.On Thursday, seven medical officers testified before the court. The prosecution is expected to lead evidence through FSL experts when the matter resumes on Friday.The proceedings are being held behind closed doors before special judge S.R. Salunkhe. Special public prosecutor Ajay Misar stated that the prosecution has completed the examination of 30 witnesses, presenting a combination of oral testimonies, medical findings, and other material evidence collected during the investigation.“The witnesses examined so far include the victim’s family members, local search team members, individuals linked to CCTV footage, panch witnesses, medical officers from Sassoon General Hospital, and child witnesses. The trial is proceeding at a very fast pace,” Misar said.The police had arrested 65-year-old Bhimrao Kamble during the investigation and subsequently filed a chargesheet.
