Gurgaon: An FIR has been registered against two persons for abetment to suicide after a 42-year-old cab driver died by suicide in Ghamroj on Wednesday over sustained pressure to hand over his land.The deceased, Jaikiran, was found dead in his room by his family. They informed police around 7.30am.During the investigation, police recovered a video from Jaikaran’s mobile phone. In the recording, he named Sheru, a resident of Ghamroj village, and Charan Singh alias Channi of Alipur village, and said they were consistently harassing him to transfer his land to them.Jaikaran claimed the accused obtained his signatures on land-related documents through fraudulent means and later attempted to take control of the property. He alleged that he was repeatedly threatened when he resisted their demands.The family has alleged that Jaikaran was under severe mental stress because of the dispute. They also said at first, he tried to resolve the matter through discussions rather than take legal action.The matter relates to the family’s three-kanal landholding.Police said all aspects of the case are being examined and action will be taken against those found responsible.Jaikaran is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
