Bengaluru: Laughter echoed through Brookfield Sunday morning as residents gathered in large numbers for the final Whitefield edition of Happy Streets, turning 2nd Main Road near Bagmane Neon Gate 1 into a vibrant community space filled with music, art, games and family fun.As The Times of India’s popular community initiative prepares to wrap up its Whitefield run, the atmosphere was one of celebration, with people of all ages making the most of the traffic-free street.From toddlers rolling tyres and trying traditional games such as Buguri to grandparents cheering from the sidelines, the event saw families spending quality time together. Giant Snake and Ladder boards, carrom matches, skating, archery, skipping and cricket kept children engaged throughout the morning.The stage remained the centre of attention with energetic performances by Satvas Dance Company, The Dance Mojo and Swingers Dance Inc. Meanwhile, the Rudra Academy of Performing Arts and Fine Arts kept children busy painting and creating their own personalised bookmarks. Magician Tyson captivated both children and adults with a series of tricks that left many guessing long after the performance ended.At the Meraki School of Art stall, children eagerly learnt drawing and colouring techniques. A quieter corner of the street offered visitors a chance to slow down. Volunteers from Heartfulness guided participants through simple meditation, relaxation exercises and interactive activities to promote mindfulness. Nearby, Falun Dafa introduced visitors to meditation and wellness practices.The event also featured a mix of learning and engagement. From Mug to Mic encouraged aspiring singers to take centre stage, as local talents performed their favourite songs.With a cool breeze, upbeat music and smiling faces filling the street, Happy Streets once again demonstrated the power of public spaces in bringing communities together.As Happy Streets prepares to conclude its Whitefield chapter, Brookfield signed off, leaving lasting impression.
