Bengaluru: Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the fake medicine racket detected in Tavareke in Bengaluru South district, has arrested another accused, identified as Balasubramanian, following the arrest of alleged kingpin R Prashanth Babu.Assistant commissioner of police Anjan Kumar and his team arrested Balasubramanian in Chennai Tuesday. According to the investigation, Balasubramanian was acting as the owner of another company belonging to Prashanth.SIT has subjected him to questioning.Meanwhile, SIT is digging into Prashanth’s travel history and foreign network. Investigators have found that Prashanth, who has been taken into custody for 10 days, had travelled to several countries, including Turkey and Azerbaijan.SIT has found that Prashanth had travelled to Turkey to procure medical-related items. He had also allegedly been caught there for illegally transporting items and was taken into custody by local police. Investigators are also examining his bank transactions.
